Dear First Time Homebuyer:

Welcome to REACH Inc., a nonprofit housing development agency in Lexington, Kentucky. We are honored that you have inquired about our agency, whose mission is to assist low- to moderate-income families in becoming self – sufficient and obtaining affordable housing.

Homeownership is the foundation for a family’s climb to financial stability. However, the path to owning a home can at times be long, winding and may be bumpy. We at REACH recognize the challenges facing new homeowners. We have dedicated our efforts to finding solutions to the obstacles of affordability, availability, and accessibility in decent, safe and sanitary housing.

Along the way, we have engaged many partners to aid us in turning the aforementioned obstacles into opportunities. These partners include our member banking institutions, Kentucky Housing Corporation and Lexington - Fayette Urban County Government.

Together, we have compiled a “toolkit” of resources, education and assistance to share with you. I ask that you consider the programs and services at REACH as you prepare to pursue homeownership. Your minimal cash investment, coupled with your invaluable personal participation in our Homebuyer Education program, can bring the dream of owning a home within REACH.
