Education & Counseling

The agency’s counseling program has been approved by Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) -- the state housing finance agency -- and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The counseling services provided by REACH include:

• Pre-purchase counseling
• Homebuyer education
• Budget and credit counseling
• Post-purchase education and counseling
• Predatory lending education
• Mortgage delinquency / default counseling
• Loss mitigation
• Reverse mortgage counseling

To begin your quest towards homeownership, you must register to attend an orientation session. Orientations are held every Tuesday and Wednesday, and sessions last approximately one hour. Please call 859–455–8057 to reserve your spot in a future orientation session.

Other group homebuyer education classes are also offered regularly at the REACH office. Our education and counseling programs are available to clients at no or little costs.
